These eyecatching pieces are the male flowers of the Seychelles palm, the plant is better known as Coco de mer and has the botanical name Lodoicea maldivica.
The flowers grow as a large cone and these have been dried, split into two with the ends coiled upwards. The result resembles an elephants large ears and trunk or the horns of a ram.
These palm flowers make for an interesting addition to nature tables and sensory baskets along with being a nice decoration.
