Crazy hair watercolours

This is a super fun art activity that gives great results!

First, paint a piece of plain paper using water colours. Kids can use whatever colours they like but, for the most effective results at least 3 different colours should be used.

While the paint is drying draw a face outline on a piece of black card (or use one of our free templates) and cut it out.

Once the painted paper is completely dry stick on your face template along the bottom edge.

Now, draw lines, twists and turns, dots and swirls to create crazy patterned hair.

You may find that your paper has curled a bit at the edges after painting it, we trimmed these off to create a flat but narrower picture which seemed to make the hairstyles looking even taller.

Have fun with it!
